He moved to Lamesa, Texas and graduated from Blackshear High School in 1959. He also received his call into ministry in 1967. He has been a pastor since 1971. Bishop Cato started his own ministry and is the pastor at Calvary Temple. He attended Cedar Valley College and worked at a drug store. While working at the drug store he met his beautiful wife. He and his wife celebrate over 52 years of marriage. They adopted two children. His son is a guitar player and his daughter plays the organ at Calvary Temple. Bishop Cato says he gives God all the glory for his accomplishments.
